Keep up to date with the latest events at QRA.
Co-hosted by Queen’s University Belfast and Ulster University, this student-led conference welcomes early career Quaternary researchers to present their undergraduate, master’s or PhD research in a relaxed and supportive environment.
The conference will last 1.5 days (Thursday afternoon and all day Friday) and includes postgraduate talks, a poster session, two keynote speakers, and a guided tour of the 14Chrono Centre (the radiocarbon dating facility at Queen’s University Belfast).
In addition, we are planning to run two optional activities:
Thursday 29th August: A morning workshop on Bayesian approaches for age-depth modelling using rbacon.*
Saturday 31st August: An optional field excursion to see and learn about the fascinating Quaternary records present within the Irish landscape.*
*Subject to limited spaces.
