The Quaternary Newsletter - for members
The QN invites short peer-reviewed articles (~3000 words), reports on awarded grants (which should be formatted for QN in addition to being sent to the Awards Officer), reports on meetings hosted by or funded by QRA, book reviews, map reviews, letters to the Editor and abstracts of recently completed PhD theses and QRA award winning dissertations. Guidance notes for contributions can be found here.
In 2016 the QRA membership voted to move QN to an electronic format, instead of posted print-version, starting in 2017. This reduction in paper use has environmental benefits and the funds saved from not printing and posting the QN to all members has been put back into the award schemes to offer more funding to members. A small number of printed editions are still produced for copyright libraries. It is also possible to opt-in to receive a paper copy on payment of a fee. If you would like to do this, please contact the QRA administrator (firstname.lastname@example.org) to see what the current fee level is.
The three latest issues of the Quaternary Newsletter are only available to our members, behind a member sign-in area. Archived editions of QN are also available on the website, in the document archive, and are available to all. If the back issue is not available online, there may be print copies available for a fee and postage and packing. Again, please contact the QRA administrator (email@example.com).
