The QRA Field Meeting to Wester Ross in the North-West Highlands will take place 18–21 May 2023.
The trip will be based in Kinlochewe, and led by Colin Ballantyne and Doug Benn (University of St Andrews). Highlights of the meeting will include inter alia the evidence for the Wester Ross Readvance, reassessment of Loch Lomond Stadial glacial landsystems (including the signatures of possible glacier surges), the periglacial and aeolian landsystems of An Teallach and the record of sea-level change in the region.
The field meeting programme is available here: WRFM Programme 2023.
All available places on the Wester Ross Field Meeting have now been filled. Depending on vehicle capacity it may be possible to add one or two more participants. Preference will be given to PhD students and early-career researchers. Others will be placed on a waiting list and offered places should any registered participants withdraw. Please email meetings@qra.org.uk to register your interest.
