This is an informal group of and for postgraduates researching Quaternary themes who are members of the QRA. We get together each summer for the Postgraduate Symposium and aim to support each other through the postgraduate journey.
Every year we hold our Postgraduate Symposium in August, with the venue for the following year being decided at the end of each symposium. Our ADM, held every January, also has space set aside for postgraduates and early career researchers.
Outside of our main conferences, there are a wide range of research groups and field meetings that you can get involved in as a QRA member. There’s no pressure to be an expert in any of these things – many people go along simply to learn about an area of the country or Quaternary science that they’re interested in.

All QRA members are eligible to apply for our grants, with deadlines on 15th February and/or 15th September each year.
Postgraduate students enjoy a reduced membership fee, which gives access to the QRA members’ area, a 20% discount in the bookshop, and allows you apply for our grants.
